Design & Structural Coordination
The three-storey addition required careful coordination between the architectural design and structural systems to create open, functional interior spaces while working within the constraints of the existing home.
Cadaxx Design developed the permit drawings and coordinated with the structural engineer throughout the design process. The completed addition closely reflects the original design intent, transforming the rear of the home with a modern façade and significantly expanded living space.

Construction on this project presented unique challenges due to the narrow Toronto lot and limited access to the rear of the property. Much of the construction access and material handling had to be carefully coordinated through the rear laneway.
Despite the tight site conditions, the three-storey addition was successfully constructed, transforming the existing home and adding substantial new living space.
